Asphalting works

From Monday 27 May to Saturday 1 June, the asphalt pavement of the bus station and the passenger drop-off area will be renovated. Work will be carried out in different stages in the evening and night. For stages 1 and 2, work is scheduled between 8 pm and 4 am.  For stages 3 to 6, work is scheduled between 9 pm and 4 am.

Below, please find an overview of the works and their impact. 

We urge you to follow the diversion (orange signage) and not to enter the construction site.  

Impacted zones:P14 Bus station

Impact on the users

  • The buses of De Lijn and the Ringtrambus will have their stop on P16 during this stage. Arriving passengers who wish to take a De Lijn bus can use the access via Drop-off (follow signage to Intercity Bus).
  • The Brussels Airport night shuttle will stop on platform D of P14 instead of platform B. 

Impacted zone: P14  

Consequences for the users:  

  • The buses of De Lijn and the Ringtrambus will have their stop on P16 during this stage. Arriving passengers who wish to take a De Lijn bus can use the access via Drop-off (follow signage to Intercity Bus).  
  • Brussels Airport night shuttle buses & Hotel Shuttles can use the covered part of busstation P14. 

Impacted zones: bus station exit and drop-off

Impact on the users

  • De Lijn buses as well as the Ringtrambus will have their stop on P16. Arriving passengers who wish to take a De Lijn bus can use the access via Drop-off (follow signage to Intercity Bus). 
  • To exit the bus station, the buses will have to use the diversion around the back of the former DHL building 2. 
  • Only half of the drop-off area is available. Access via two entrances only.  

Impacted zones: bus station entrance, drop-off exit, car rental exit; P15, P18 and Q19 are inaccessible 

Impact on the users:  

  • Buses of De Lijn as well as the Ringtrambus will have their stop on P16 Arriving passengers who wish to take a De Lijn bus can use the access via Drop-off (follow signage to Intercity Bus). 
  • MIVB buses will also stop on P16. Arriving passengers who wish to take a MIVB bus can use the access via Drop-off (follow signage to Intercity Bus). 
  • Buses leaving the bus station will have to follow the diversion around the back of former building 2 (DHL) 
  • Traffic flows on the drop-off area will be adapted. The number of entrances will be limited to two, with the other two entrances being used to exit the drop-off area. Stewards will be present on site to direct people. When leaving the drop-off area, please follow the orange diversion signage.  
  • Car rental users and users of the Sheraton car park will have to exit in a different way. Please follow the signs.
  • Unloading bay Q19 is inaccessible for deliveries from Thursday 30/05 9pm to Friday 31/05, 4 am! 
  • Sheraton car park, P15 and staff car park P18 will also not be accessible between 9pm and 4am. Exiting from P15 and P18 is not possible during these hours. So please leave these car parks in good time.

Impacted zones: drop-off 

Impact on the users

  • Drop-off capacity strongly limited
    Access via 2 entrances only. Exit through a temporary exit. Stewards will be present on site to direct people.

Impacted zones: exit airport towards A201

Impact on users

  • Exiting the airport via the A201 will not be possible. Follow the diversion to join the A201 further down.
