Brussels Airport is easily accessible by bus, train, bike and car. Below you will find an overview of the different modes of transport.

The train will take you smoothly to the airport from every corner of the country. Moreover, the train station is located just below the passenger terminal.

From there you can continue to your place of work on foot, (foldable) bike, e-scooter, or bus. Did you know that you travel free of charge with the De Lijn buses between the bus stops on the airport grounds?

Living in Brussels? Then you have train to and from Brussels Airport about every 10 minutes.

There are also direct connections to Antwerp, Bruges, Ghent, Leuven, Mechelen and Namur. From Liège, the train will take you to Brussels Airport in less than an hour, with at transfer in Leuven.

Avoid the Diabolo Fee

If you hold a standard or flex pass from/to Brussels Airport – Zaventem, you won’t be charged the Diabolo Fee. Read more about the Diabolo Fee.

Brussels Airport is one of the largest bus stations in the country. Sounds crazy? Not really when you know that more than 900 buses stop at the airport every day. The bus station is located right in front of the terminal on level 0.

De Lijn buses

Most bus routes serving the airport are operated by Flemish transport company De Lijn. On the vast airport grounds, De Lijn serves several bus stops. Travel between these bus stops is free of charge.
A bus ride from building 706 to the terminal takes no more than 10 minutes or so.

Ringtrambus

The Ringtrambus provides a smooth and frequent service from the area to the north of Brussels and Brussels Airport. On weekdays, it runs every 15 minutes from the University Hospital in Jette, passing by Brussels Expo, the Vilvoorde station and Brucargo to the bus station in front of the passenger terminal.

MIVB/STIB ‘Airport Line’

MIVB/STIB provides bus, tram and metro transport in the Brussels Capital Region.

Line 12, also known as “Airport Line”, will take you in 30 minutes from the European Quarter in Brussels to Brussels Airport.

Brussels Airport is easily accessible by bike thanks to the different cycling highways in the area, including the F3 Leuven-Brussels or the F214 Vilvoorde-Brucargo.

On fietssnelwegen.be you will find a handy route planner that will take you to the airport along the nicest biking routes.

Where to park your bike?

If you work in or near the terminal, you can park your bike in the free parking facility on P15 or in the secured fee-paying bike park P15S.

The parking bay on P15 is open to anyone, free of charge, and has several charging points.

P15S is an access-controlled parking area for Soft Mobility means of transport such as (electric) bikes, scooters, cargo bikes and S-pedelecs. It provides has 216 parking spaces with charging point where you can recharge your e-bike or e-scooter free of charge.

To access the bike park, you need a Brussels Airport parking card.

You can request a Soft Mobility card through your employer or individually.

Other bike parking facilities

Office building Passport has its own bike parking area for staff who work there. There’s also an indoor bike parking area next to the Satellite building. In the vicinity of most other office buildings, you will find smaller bike parking bays or sheds.

If you commute to the airport by motorcycle, you can park it at one of the many free motorcycle parking bays.

You will find them at P15, P27, at the DHL guard post, in front of building 706 and near building 32.

Brussels Airport has several staff car parks, managed by the Parking Management service of Brussels Airport Company.

You can obtain a parking card for one of the car parks through your employer who will sign a contract with the Parking Management service to this end.

For car parks P30 and P58 you can sign a contract in your own name with the Parking Management service.
