Brussels Airport and Interparking have commenced work on adding 2,088 parking spaces to car park P3, which is located opposite the passenger terminal. During the construction works, passengers will have to use alternative entry and exit routes for P3.
At Brussels Airport, expansion work has begun on the P3 parking building, which is located opposite the terminal. An additional 2,088 parking spaces will be created in the car park. The current car park P3 can accommodate 2,400 vehicles, so the capacity is being almost doubled.
With this expansion of the car park, Brussels Airport and Interparking want to meet the increasing demand from passengers for parking accommodation close to the terminal. Currently, Brussels Airport provides more than 8.100 parking spaces opposite the terminal in car parks P1, P2 and P3.
The construction works will expand the existing building with a new extension, which will consist of three floors below ground and six above ground. During the work, 2,200 of the existing parking spaces in P3 will remain available. Car park P3 will remain easily accessible during the works via a new (temporary) access road to the alternative entrance and exit. The adjacent P2 car park will also remain accessible via this new access road.
The work will take 22 months and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2020.
