Brussels Airport deploys six electric buses for music festival Paradise City as green mobility partner

Environment

Just like in 2019, Brussels Airport is again proud sponsor and mobility partner of Paradise City, Belgium's most ecological festival, in neighbouring municipality Steenokkerzeel. To help the festival achieve its green ambitions, Brussels Airport will deploy six electric buses to transport the visitors to and from the festival. Paradise City takes place on the grounds of the idyllic Ribeaucourt castle in the weekend of 1, 2 and 3 July.

Brussels Airport will deploy six electric buses during the three festival days of Paradise City to provide a CO2-neutral shuttle bus service, free of charge, between the train station of Vilvoorde and the festival site in Perk, Steenokkerzeel. Together with the other mobility partners, Brussels Airport ensures that there is a full alternative for reaching the festival easily. As a "neighbour" of the festival, the airport is happy to contribute to the ecological ambitions of Paradise City, which are also in line with the vision of Brussels Airport. It is estimated that during the three days some 3300 people will use this shuttle service.
