June 23rd saw the kick-off of the renovation works for the new Aviation Talent Hub located on the Ringlaan at Brussels Airport. Scheduled for completion by the end of 2024, Aviato Academy's Aviation Talent Hub will emerge as the center of choice for training airport staff and perfecting their skills. Aviato Academy is dedicated to providing the airport community with cutting-edge resources to foster their personal development and enhance their knowledge of airport operations and the aviation industry. With a seamless blend of online and offline platforms supported by state-of-the-art infrastructure, students will have access to an unparalleled learning experience. Complementing this innovative approach, an immersive Experience Center will be built to ignite passion and inspire talent. Embodying the role of a central education hub for aviation, the Aviation Talent Hub will spearhead skills development at Brussels Airport.
Aviato Academy and Aviato are joining hands with their partners to establish an unparalleled training facility in the heart of Brussels Airport. For this Aviation Talent Hub, a 3,500 m² building on the Ringlaan at Brussels Airport will be entirely renovated. Today, the partners kicked off the renovation work for this unique project.
"With the development of the Aviation Talent Hub, we reaffirm our commitment to creating the airport of the future, where learning, growth, and innovation intertwine," stated Isabelle Borli, General Manager of Aviato Academy. "Our aim is not only to provide professional training for aviation roles but also to enhance job opportunities and attract new talents to the airport. Through this new hub, we are bolstering our aviation training offerings on-site and fostering a sustainable workforce influx for the continued evolution of Brussels Airport's ecosystem."
The Aviation Talent Hub will serve as the central hub for sourcing, attracting, retaining, and training airport talent. Together, the partners will pool their knowledge, expertise, and resources to support and drive the aviation sector by training talented professionals individually and in groups and equipping them with the necessary theoretical and practical skills to thrive in this dynamic and expanding industry.
“We are thrilled to have reached this significant milestone in the development of the Aviation Talent Hub. By doing so, we are establishing a cutting-edge training center at Brussels Airport, serving all our airport partners," commented Sylvie Vanden Eynde, Chief HR & Corporate Affairs Officer of Brussels Airport. "With the Aviation Talent Hub, Brussels Airport will take a prominent role in aviation education, diversifying its services and offering top-notch aviation training within its ecosystem. Ultimately, the passengers and customers will benefit from enhanced operational efficiency and services, made possible by the recruitment and training initiatives taking place within this hub."
The renovated building will not only accommodate traditional classrooms and practice spaces but also an advanced digital training center. The renovation project also includes the development of office spaces, meeting rooms, and event venues. Aviato Academy will establish its headquarters there and, in collaboration with Aviato, expand the hub into a knowledge center for airport talent, featuring an appealing Experience Center for airport jobs.
The Aviation Talent Hub will meet the highest standards of energy efficiency using cutting-edge technologies, including green facades and rooftop solar panels. The building enjoys a central location at the airport and is easily accessible by public transportation, with direct bus connections to and from Brussels Airport's passenger terminal or Brucargo, as well as convenient access for cyclists.
The renovation works will be carried out in several phases, with the ground floor expected to be completed by the end of this year. The entire project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2024, and the Aviation Talent Hub, together with its state-of-the-art Experience Center, is set to be fully operational in early 2025.
