For several weeks now, Brussels Airport has been adorned with a thousand lights creating a magical end of year atmosphere. This way, the more than 850,000 passengers expected during the Christmas break are welcomed with warmth and cosiness. Sun or snow, a city-trip or longer holiday, in Europe or further, passengers can choose from no less than 135 destinations in all corners of the world.
‘Brussels Airport – Where dreams start’ - is the slogan of Brussels Airport’s end of year campaign. Because it is at Brussels Airport where dreams, big or small, will start to unfold and are realised! This year, the airport has again pulled out all the stops to create a magical atmosphere outside and in the terminal. And the magic starts as soon as you arrive. Thousands of lights sparkle, next to dozens of Christmas trees and typical Christmas decorations such as the magical sled of Santa Claus, an XXL armchair or the beautiful giant Christmas bauble that illuminates the area in front of the departures hall. And there is more as passengers can also take part in many different actions. For example, they can send a postcard to their loved ones or take an original photo in front of one of the lovely snowy sceneries, which will then be printed and put in a snow globe.
To set the mood, DJs, selected via a contest organised a few weeks ago, will take turns at the turntables at the Après Sky DJ Booth at the beginning of Pier A between December 22 and January 4. Santa Claus and his little Elves will also be waiting after the security check to delight the children. Finally, last but not least, passengers will be able to contribute to a good cause by buying one of the special red Christmas baubles. All profits from these sales will be donated to the Make a Wish Foundation which realizes the dreams of sick children.
