A “KSAS” is a supplier of airport supplies whose procedures meet strict security rules and standards to allow delivery of airport supplies to security restricted areas at the airport.
The supplier submits his own supplies to security checks, makes sure that the supplies do not contain any prohibited articles and protects them from manipulation of unauthorized persons from the time of such inspection until delivery to the security restricted area at the airport. This way no prohibited articles can be introduced during storage or transportation.
Airport supplies are all items intended to be sold, used, or provided for any purpose or activity in security restricted areas of airports. This area is also called CPSRA (Critical Part of the Security Restricted Area).
Goods are considered airport supplies from the moment they are identifiable as supplies destined for CPSRA.
