BE-Alert is a public warning system that enables the authorities to warn people in case of an emergency. Receiving a quick notification can prove very useful if a crisis situation should occur (such as fire, floods, chemical accidents, etc.) close to where you live, but equally in the vicinity of where you work.
The warning system allows the authorities to send out messages through various channels: text messages, spoken calls by landline or mobile phone, e-mail.
