During the week of 8 January, Brussels Airport Company made a start on the construction of the plane spotting platforms in association with Wegebo and Delobelle architectural engineering agency. How quickly works will progress depends on the weather conditions, but we expect we will be able to start using the spotting platforms in the course of April.
Both the Vliegbos and the popular spotting vantage point near the transit centre will be less easily accessible to spotters from January to April. Both construction sites will fenced off from the start of the works until completion. This means it will be more difficult for a bit to spot at Brussels Airport, but the result will be worth it. So please be patient a little while longer!
