A film crew has been shooting footage on several occasions over the past year. They started filming last year at the start of the summer to record how Brussels Airport recovered from the Covid-19 crisis. Little did we know then that there was going to be a second wave, followed by a travel ban.
This summer, passenger numbers are definitely going to pick up. In July we expect to welcome 40,000 passengers a day!
That’s why the major and longest shooting period is planned for the summer months. From 25 June until 31 July, you may spot camera crews in the terminal and on the tarmac where they will be following a specific service or all of the activities regarding a particular flight so as to give a good idea of the hard work all of you put in behind the scenes.
Smile! You’re on camera!
So, please bear in mind that if you are working at the airport during that period, you may be filmed. If you do not wish to be filmed, you can always indicate this to the camera crew.
The crew will shoot a lot of footage, of which only a limited selection will be used. It is important to note that everyone who is filmed will be asked for their written permission, and that anyone who actually appears in a scene in the series will be shown their scene beforehand for approval. If necessary, adjustments can be made. Of course, everyone is free to cooperate or not.
The finished episodes will be reviewed and approved by the Communications Team of Brussels Airport Company who will make sure that everyone is correctly portrayed.
The series will be broadcasted in the second half of 2022 on tv channel één (vrt).
