Collecting a badge? Make an appointment!

To increase the efficiency of our services and enhance customer satisfaction, the Security Services department of Brussels Airport henceforth offers the possibility to make an online appointment to collect personal or visitor badges.

Since the Covid-19 crisis, we prefer not to have to sit in a crowded room waiting for our turn. Making an appointment in advance is now a well-established habit that offers nothing but benefits: as a customer, you can be sure that you will be helped, and you know how much time you need to plan.

That is why the Security Services Department has decided to stop working with a walk-in desk and to issue airport badges by appointment only, just like our neighbouring airports do.

To ensure that everything runs smoothly, a high-performance digital platform was brought into use to manage the appointments for the Badges service. This will make long waiting times a thing of the past, which will considerably improve customer experience.

How does it work?

As soon as the person for whom you have requested an airport ID badge is notified that their badge is ready, that person can make an appointment to collect their badge through the website of the Badges service. You can also make an appointment here to collect any visitor badges you requested.

During the transition period until the end of November, you can still choose to make an appointment or simply walking in.

From 1 December 2021, an appointment is mandatory. However, a prior appointment is not requested in urgent cases, e.g. when a badge suddenly stops working or when the badge holder has lost or forgotten their badge.

The Brussels Airport Security Services team trust that you will appreciate this new way of working.
