GreenMobility, the new car sharing provider at Brussels Airport goes all-electric.
This autumn, Danish company GreenMobilty has entered the Belgian Market, aiming to contribute to a greener mobility to and from Brussels Airport. Through its convenient car sharing app, you can book a 100% electric car to drive to the airport. GreenMobilty is the second car sharing provider at our airport, besides Poppy.
The arrival of GreenMobility allows Brussels Airport to further strengthen its role as an intermodal hub and to contribute to a more sustainable mobility in and around Brussels. With its car sharing services, GreenMobility is aiming at passengers and commuters within the wider area around the airport.
How does it work?
If you have a driving licence and only occasionally need a car, car sharing proves to be a convenient and advantageous solution.
• Easy: An intuitive app allows you to locate, reserve and unlock the nearest available car. No need for a key to start the engine, a smartphone is all it takes. The app also locates the Hotspots for you, dedicated parking spaces reserved for GreenMobility cars in a specific zone.
• Advantageous: the user pays a fixed rate per minute for the time they reserve the car, without additional parking, insurance, subscription or fuel costs.
It is also a sustainable solution as it reduces the number of cars in the streets and leads to fewer traffic jams and fewer carbon emissions.
First Antwerp, then Ghent and Brussels
GreenMobility cars can already be spotted in Antwerp and Ghent. In a first stage, only the Antwerp-based cars can be dropped off at the airport. The Ghent and Brussels-based cars are to follow.
At Brussels Airport, the car sharing station where you can pick up or return a shared car is located in the Lock Park. More information about this service is available on our website https://www.brusselsairport.be/en/passengers/access-parking/rental-cars/car-sharing
