On Tuesday 19 October, the Aviato Job Fair took place in het Skyhall at Brussels Airport. No less than 2,000 visitors showed their interest in a job at the airport.
The Aviato Job Fair is the largest fair for airport jobs where jobseekers from all over the country can meet employers from Brussels Airport and Brucargo. For the first time since the start of the Covid pandemic the job fair was held as a physical event.
400 job vacancies
Currently, there are about 400 vacancies, which is the same number as before the Covid crisis. 30 companies belonging to the airport community participated in the job fair. Now that the airport is recovering from the crisis, it is important to quickly find the right profiles. The 2,000 jobseekers who visited the fair could follow interactive workshops or speed date with the airport companies.
The airport as a sustainable employer
Following the job fair, Arnaud Feist (CEO Brussels Airport Company & Chairman of Aviato), Wim Adriaens (Managing Director of VDAB), Caroline Mancel (acting Director general of Actiris), Peter Van Biesbroeck (General director Voka Vlaams-Brabant) and David Bellon (Chairman of Air Cargo Belgium) gathered on the stage for a panel discussion on the airport as a sustainable employer.
