Sanitary block at Panos completely renewed

In the departure hall, you will now find a completely new sanitary block that puts passenger experience front and centre.

Customer Centricity

One of the elements that influence passenger satisfaction is the quality and cleanliness of the sanitary facilities.

That's why a new concept was developed that not only looks good but also significantly improves the comfort and experience of the user.

As such the new SAN06 sanitary block near the Panos in the departure hall offers almost 85% more capacity than the old one, the cabins are considerably wider (so that hand luggage can also be taken inside), a pleasant fragrance specially developed for BAC is emitted, and a soft music plays.

Extra attention was paid to hygiene during design. Everything is designed so that you have to touch as few surfaces as possible. The toilet bowls no longer have a lid, the flush is automatic and ladybins and soap dispensers work with sensors.

Our youngest passengers have also been taken into consideration. For example, there is a separate baby changing area and there are children's toilets with lower washbasins.

Sustainability

It goes without saying that we opt for sustainable solutions wherever possible:

  • The toilet paper is made of recycled paper
  • The LED lighting is activated by a movement sensor
  • We are also testing how sensors can be used to detect how much water is needed for flushing
  • In addition, separate pipes were laid so that it is easy to switch to flushing with rainwater when it is available in sufficient quantities.

Over the next few years, the other sanitary blocks will also be given a thorough makeover, continuing the SAN06 concept and look & feel.

Curious? Drop by when you are having lunch in the departure hall.
