Ten years ago, on 24 March 2015, Connector was officially inaugurated in the presence of King Philip and numerous personalities. On 26 March, this new construction, a symbol of connectivity and progress, welcomed its first passengers.
With its huge glass surfaces, the airy building connects the terminal above-ground to Pier A, replacing the dark tunnel that Schengen passengers had had to use since the opening of the Pier in 2002.
The state-of-the-art Connector was a major improvement in terms of the experience for our passengers, who can since pleasantly stroll to their gate.
In addition to offering a unique view of the tarmac, Connector features remarkable facilities including a screening platform with 25 screening lanes (the largest in Europe at the time), a huge walk-through shop, and the famous Tintin rocket.
On the evening of 24 March 2015, Connector was unveiled to the guests with a spectacular opening show.
